Why surf in El Medano?
The beaches of El Medano are perfect to start catching waves or improve your technique. The beach just in front of the school is sandy, so if we fall we won’t get hurt. Also, depending on your level, we adapt to perfect the technique or start from scratch and for this we have boards of all kinds: the foam boards (also called cork), have a lot of volume and are soft, so standing up is very easy; we also have epoxy top boards. While surf in El Médano, as a backdrop, if we look to the sea, we see Montaña Roja, one of the emblems of the coastal city and if we look to land we can contemplate the different coves of the city.
Meeting point
We are located at Paseo Mercedes de la Roja, 34. Right on the main avenue.

Some curiosities about El Médano:
- The beaches are of grey sand
- We find the volcanic cone of Montaña Roja as a backdrop. It is a special Integral Reserve, measuring 171 metres, it is rich in birds and separates the beaches of El Médano and La Tejita.
- Windsurfing and kitesurfing championships of great international renown are often held here.
- In this small coastal town there are beaches for all kinds of people: from the most family-oriented to backpackers, couples, solo travellers, nudists or exclusive use for windsurfing or kitesurfing.
