Why paddle surf and snorkel in Lanzarote?
The island offers a multitude of different activities, including paddle surf and snorkel in Lanzarote. Discovering the coast from a board and being able to visit different coves and caves at your own pace is an almost obligatory visit. In addition to its crystal clear waters, it is a place with few waves and little wind, so it is perfect for paddle surfing and seeing the seabed. It has an arid and wild aspect with blackish tones that make visitors fall in love with it. Are you up for it?
What are we going to do during these two hours?
We will meet at Las Coloradas Beach. There we will start with a technical session and then put it into practice in the water. Then we will go along the bay to Playa Mujeres where we will make our first stop. There we can snorkel and enter a volcanic cave on the coast, tide permitting. We recharge our batteries with a snack and return enjoying the scenery and seabed of the Papagayo coastline.
Characteristics of Papagayo Beaches
- There are eight unspoilt beaches and coves: Playa Mujeres, Caletón del Cobre, Caletón de San Marcial, Playa del Pozo, Playa de la Cera, Playa de Papagayo, Caleta del Congrio and Playa Puerto Muleas.
- The group of these beaches and coves together with the Pozos de San Marcial del Rubicón declared as a Natural Monument.
- The 8 beaches of Papagayo are part of the Natural Monument of Los Ajaches.
- This massif and its surroundings are the oldest territory of Lanzarote. More than 14 million years old.
