Why take Anaga at Tenerife hiking?
Anaga is undoubtedly full of hidden places and one of our missions is to make them known. Villages like Chamorga and its spectacular viewpoints are impressive. Afterwards you can get to know what Anaga gastronomy tastes like with a delicious typical Canarian lunch.
What does the experience consist of?
The route goes through the laurel forest and two of the most beautiful viewpoints of Tenerife. We start at Chamorga, one of the rural hamlets of Anaga. We will continue to conquer the crown of Anaga and walk along its ridge. On the way back down to Chamorga you will see the easternmost point of the island and several scenic gems. The first part of the trail presents a medium trekking difficulty as we walk up, then we walk through the crest, and finally come back to Chamorga.
At Chamorga we will taste several typical Canarian dishes.
Don’t miss the opportunity to get to know Tenerife in a completely different way!

- The flora is made up of cactus, tabaibas, brambles, palm trees, dragon trees, yuccas, gorse, evergreen evergreens, banana trees and the well-known Laurisilva.
- Chamorga as a village was born out of the need to be able to collect all the water from the surrounding area in a specific place.

What to do after the trekking in Tenerife?
After your visit to Anaga you can drive to the beach. The drive from the visitor centre to the village of Taganana through the mountains is a spectacle. You will cross seas of clouds and see the flora and fauna in a different way as you travel through the mountains of Anaga. In Taganana you can have a drink at Casa África or Casa Paca and see the black sand beaches. We recommend that you see one of the most beautiful and photographed sunsets in the Canary Islands at Benijo Beach.
